Privacy, in plain words.
NeuronDrama is a space to reflect and return. This policy explains the information used to provide that experience. NeuronDrama is operated by Aarti Kumari. For privacy questions or requests, contact neurondrama@gmail.com.
What you share
When you sign in with Google, our authentication service receives account information such as your email address, account identifier, and profile information Google provides. We do not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail messages.
When you save a reflection, we store its text, the prompt, your account identifier, and timestamps. We also store journey progress, such as your current screen and whether you have completed onboarding, so you can return to your experience. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include.
Why we use it
We use this information to sign you in, associate saved reflections with your account, restore your journey, display saved content, respond to your requests, and maintain the service. Saved reflections are private. We do not automatically publish them in the museum.
In My space, we may place saved moments beside each other or show a suggestion supported by your words. If you choose Fits, Partly, or Not really, we store that response with your account. Your response stays beside the suggestion and can lower its priority or set it aside from future highlights. You can change your response.
Optional museum sharing
You may write a separate version of a moment for the public museum. We record your consent, submission text, account identifier, and review status. New submissions appear immediately after explicit publication consent, without your account identifier or profile. Older submissions awaiting review remain private until approved. Anonymous display does not guarantee that a story cannot identify you; remove identifying details before submitting. Authorised reviewers can access submissions and reports. You can withdraw your submission from the sharing page, removing it from the museum. Copies saved by other people are outside our control. Reports are associated with the reporting account and are not displayed publicly.
Optional browser reminders
If you enable reminders, we store your browser’s push subscription address and encryption keys, your account identifier, consent, and delivery timestamps. These let us send one reminder about 21 hours after a saved visit. A newer save replaces the pending reminder. Browser push providers, such as Google, Mozilla, Apple, or Microsoft, process notification delivery. Notifications contain only a generic invitation, never your reflection text. You can remove your subscriptions and cancel pending reminders from Reminder settings. A notification already sent to a browser provider may still arrive. Expired subscriptions are removed when detected. Account deletion removes subscription records.
Cookies and storage on your device
Museum reactions do not require sign-in. When you react, we store a random browser identifier in a cookie for up to one year and a hashed identifier with your reaction. This supports one reaction per browser per moment and lets you remove it. Counts are public; browser identifiers are not. Clearing cookies or using another browser can allow another reaction. These are reaction totals, not verified unique people.
Sign-in uses cookies to maintain your session. Your browser also temporarily stores first-reflection drafts, journey content, and sound preferences in session storage. A chosen practice step may remain in local storage on that device. Clearing browser data can remove unsaved drafts and local preferences; it does not delete reflections already saved to your account. On a shared device, sign out and clear site data when finished.
Services that help the site work
Supabase provides authentication and database storage. Google provides the sign-in service. Vercel hosts the website. These providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, request details, and service logs to operate and secure their services. Their infrastructure may process data outside your country.
Account access controls help restrict saved reflections to their owner. This is not end-to-end encryption: authorised service administration and infrastructure access may still permit access to stored data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Keeping and removing information
Saved reflections remain available for your return visits. Removing a reflection from view is not necessarily permanent erasure: the current removal mechanism marks records as deleted. To request permanent deletion of reflections or your account, email us from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Provider backups and records required for security or legal obligations may remain beyond removal from the active service.
Your choices and requests
In My space, you can download the reflections currently shown in your space and remove selected moments from that space and its connections. The download includes your words, prompts, selections, and available suggestions with your responses. It is not a full export of every account or service record.
You can choose what to write and whether to save it. Contact us to request access to your stored information, correction, a copy, deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. You can also ask us to stop processing your account information; closing your account may be necessary where that information is required to provide the service. Avoid including other people’s identifying or confidential information in reflections.
